Course Description

 

In this course, students will critically analyse strategies and approaches for whole-school teaching and learning initiatives. As part of this focus students will develop knowledge and awareness of innovative pedagogical approaches, especially those that promote independent learning. Students will develop a comprehensive understanding of leadership strategies for effectively supporting and promoting effective teachers’ professional learning and enquiry. Students will develop in-depth specialized, research-informed knowledge of effective curriculum design and development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum for overall school improvement. Assessment of and for learning are central to leading and facilitating optimal learning progression.  Students will develop and critical strategies for leading whole-school assessment practice and policy.
