Course Description

 

This course develops competencies, aligned with the UAE National Educator Competency Framework, in leading whole-school teaching and learning to drive continuous improvement in UAE contexts. Students build knowledge, values and leadership expertise that promote innovative, inclusive, culturally responsive and sustainability-oriented pedagogical approaches that foster lifelong learning. The course emphasizes leading teachers’ professional learning, collaborative inquiry, and reflective practice in inclusive and culturally responsive school environments. Students will also develop research-informed expertise in designing, implementing, and evaluating curriculum and assessment frameworks that promote equity, deep learning, and continuous school development. The course prepares students to competently lead and critically create visionary, policy-driven, and systemic strategies for whole-school teaching and learning that advance innovation, inclusion, cultural responsiveness, and sustainability across educational settings
